NSPCC Number day
On Friday 1st February, we took part in a 'Code Breaking' Number Day to raise money for NSPCC. Children visited each classroom to crack the code and receive a secret letter. Once collected, the letters could be arranged to reveal a secret message ' I CAN DO IT'. We believe that all children can achieve in Mathematics and through our high expectation for all, this is a message that we promote through every day Mathematics lessons in all classrooms. Adults joined the children to help crack to codes as well as to enjoy playing Maths activities in the hall, whilst having a cuppa. In total, we raised £248 for NSPCC.
subject revolution day
Children from years 1 to 6 had the chance to test out their team work, problem solving and maths skills in an exciting immersive learning experience. In teams, children were challenged to find the hidden codes, which would allow us to save the school from alien invasion! Luckily, we did it! We all had a fantastic day (adults included) taking part in this hands-on mathematics experience.
